Contributions to John Shadegg for Congress are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. The maximum an individual may contribute is $4,600, $2300 designated to the primary election and $2300 designated to the general election. Couples may contribute $9,200 designated to the primary and general election from a joint account and both must sign the check. Contributions from corporations and foreign nationals without a “green card” are not permitted under federal law. Federal law requires us to obtain and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in a calendar year.
